Susan Neil, PQS(F) is the president of Hanscomb, an independent Quantity Surveying firm specializing in cost planning and control for major infrastructure projects nationwide. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Technology in Project Management. Susan began her career at Hanscomb as a quantity surveyor immediately after graduating and, with over 35 years of experience, has played a key role in the firm's growth and success. As President, she oversees the strategic direction of all Hanscomb offices.

Susan is actively engaged in various initiatives that promote the profession and services of Quantity Surveyors. She is a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS), a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), and served as Chair of the Canadian Association of Consulting Quantity Surveyors (CACQS). Susan has held positions as a Part-Time Faculty member at Mohawk College and at the now Toronto Metropolitan University, where she taught the fundamentals of Cost Planning and Control. She has also served as a guest lecturer at the University of Waterloo's School of Architecture over several years. Her dedication to quantity surveying is clear in her continuous efforts to promote and educate others about the profession.
