PANELIST: Saad Rahali

Saad Rahali has almost 20 years of experience in project finance and enabling diverse public infrastructure, energy and power projects across Canada and Morocco. In his current role as Senior Director at the CIB, Saad leads the Bank’s infrastructure investment projects in carbon capture utilization and storage, hydrogen and low-carbon fuels as well as agriculture infrastructure.

Before joining the CIB, Saad was VP of Transaction Finance at Infrastructure Ontario, where he structured and negotiated a variety of large and complex P3 and commercial transactions in transit, transportation, and social infrastructure sectors. Before moving to the Canadian market, Saad worked for a major power and potable water company in Morocco.

Saad is a board member for Willow Lake Metis Group, an indigenous-owned group of companies based in Northern Alberta and on the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology’s advisory panel focused on the energy transition.

Rahali is a CFA with a Master of Research in Economics & Sustainable Development, a Master of Accounting, and a BA in Finance. Saad is based out of the CIB’s Calgary office.
