Presentation Abstract:
This presentation will cover the possibilities of performing quantity take off services by Artificial Intelligence, advantage, disadvantage, and risks. In addition, the possibility of cost estimation, budgeting, and pricing services by Artificial Intelligence in different sectors (Residential, ICI, Infrastructure) and by different parties such as consultants, architects, general contractors, construction management companies and sub trades.

AMIR KIA
Vice President of Estimating, Roni Group

 

Amir is a Professional Quantity Surveyor and the vice president of estimating at Roni Group. Amir has a civil engineering background with construction law, mediation, adjudication, and dispute resolution education. He has 20 years of experience in construction (eight years international and 12 years in the GTA). He is heavily involved with the on-going infrastructure LRT project, and large high-rise projects in the GTA. He is overseeing a team of 15 estimators and is responsible for Pro-Construction, Bidding Claim and Contracts of Group of companies with over $0.5B revenue.

MARIUS TAWEMBE
Pre-construction Manager, Pomerleau

 

Marius is the pre=construction manager at Pomerleau where he oversees a team of 15 estimators on projects with over $1B in revenue. He has over 20 years of experience in construction - GC side.
